About me

Hi, I’m Rosie,

I’m Rosemary (or Rosie) MacLennan-Crump a qualified personal trainer who specialises in menopause, mindset, and strength training. I help people build energy, confidence, and calm by changing how they move, eat, and drink.

I’m a certified Women’s Coaching Specialist and Menopause Coaching Specialist. I’m qualified to work with disabled clients and currently studying to support people living with long-term health conditions. I’ve also been honoured to receive a scholarship from British Weightlifting to build on my existing qualifications and become a certified coach with them.

I offer both one-to-one and small group personal training programmes, combining in-person and online coaching so you get the most value out of the time we spend together.

At 39, I made some big changes. I got into fitness, stopped drinking alcohol, and felt better than I had in years (probably realistically that I ever had!). Then, at 42, I hit early menopause, and it knocked me sideways.

My own journey into fitness hasn’t been straightforward. Since my early teens, I’ve had a long list of health issues, including glandular fever, post-viral fatigue, and anaemia. At 39, I made some big changes. I started strength training, gave up alcohol, and felt better than I had in years. Then, at 42, early menopause hit and knocked me sideways.

I wasn’t always active. I was definitely the kid dragging behind on cross country runs, faking a sprained wrist in PE and always picked last for teams. But now I’ve found a way to move that gives me energy and makes me feel strong and I want to help you find the same.

I live in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, and work with people across the county. I coach from FXD Fitness in Bilborough, The Health Club in Woodborough, and a lovely private space in an old Baptist church hall in Ilkeston (just over the Notts border), Derbyshire. If you’re building confidence or want to start small, I can bring equipment to your home. And while I work with a lot of people face-to-face, I also love coaching online and connecting that way too.

Before this, I worked in arts education. I ran events and projects with brilliant organisations around the UK. I mentored teenagers, helped them grow, and now I bring that same energy to the people I coach.

Outside of work, I’ve got a daughter at university in Bristol, two adopted dogs Bramley the Cavalier King Charles, and Ethel the Jack Russell Whippet cross, and my husband Johnny, who’s a mix of driving instructor and music producer.

This isn’t about pounding the treadmill, endless burpees or cutting out all your favourite foods. It’s about moving with purpose, eating well, and feeling better in your body.

We’ll lift heavy things, eat good food, and feel stronger for it.

Or in the words of Dr Stacy Sims “Lift Heavy Shit”, eat carbs, and prioritise protein!
